What we do
Gutters need a sound roof edge. We inspect the fascia for rot and damage, repair the mounting surfaces, and replace damaged soffit and fascia so a new gutter system has a solid foundation to hang from.
During your estimate we check the affected areas and explain what needs repairing before any gutters are installed. Hanging new gutters on rotten wood is a repair waiting to happen, so we do not.
Water that overflows a clogged or badly pitched gutter runs down the fascia board behind it. In Florida humidity that wood rots quietly, and the hangers holding the gutter lose their grip. Peeling paint and staining along the roof edge are the early signs; a sagging gutter is the late one.
When fascia repair is part of a gutter job, we plan the two together: the edge is repaired and finished, then the seamless gutters go on the new wood. One crew, one visit, and a system that is anchored properly for the next storm season.

Peeling paint, dark staining or soft spots along the board behind the gutter are the usual signs, along with a gutter that has started to sag or pull away. We check every run at the estimate and show you what we find.
We will not. Hangers need solid wood to hold, so we repair or replace the damaged sections first. Otherwise the new gutters fail the same way the old ones did.
Yes. Sagging, stained or damaged soffit panels are replaced along with the fascia so the whole roof edge is sound and looks right.
Where possible, yes. We plan the repair and the gutter install together so the edge is finished and the gutters go on in one trip.
